THe Arts & Justice Festival 2024
The Arts & Justice Festival, held June 28-30, 2024, is a multi-day long celebration of community care, culture, and actions that are maintaining a healthy community on Cape Cod despite the challenges we face living here. We are producing a series of events that focused on community, joy and rest, that address mental and public health, interrogates the history and stories of who makes up Cape Cod, celebrates the richness of our different backgrounds through art, food and music, lifts up POC businesses, and offers ways for community members to get involved in keeping our neighbors healthy, safe, and thriving.
The Marsha P. Johnson Roller Disco
Friday June 28, 4-7pm at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center
We are turning the street hockey court at the HYCC into the Marsha P. Johnson Roller Disco in honor of the late trans leader and in testimony to the rich history of Black culture and youth spaces in Hyannis. Wamptronica will be bringing Afro-beats, rare groove, and thump and soul while we skate our hearts out. Bring your own helmet! Not into skating? Just come hang out! Skate rentals are available (suggested donation of $5).
